This is a single screen cinema and immediately the greatest sensation you get is that of excitement when you enter. Everyone there is waiting to attend the same movie and this adds to the atmosphere. When attending some of the larger cinemas, I get the feeling that its more, process the queue and send them on their way. This leads to a splits and delays in the starting of shows especially when there are large queues at the entrance. Ok, enough about the difference, now back to Capitole. After entering the cinema, the stairs to the right lead to the lower level, whilst the doors in front lead to the upper tier. There is loads of seating and I regardless of the number of viewers, the cinema always feels warm and cosy. The seating is very comfortable and the slant to the screen is shallow but that doesn’t seem to effect visibility. I always get transfixed on the movie after it starts so nothing else grabs my attention. After descending the stairs to the lower tier there are two manned jacket deposit standings. Along the left-hand side there is a large bar with a good selection of drinks both alcohol and alcohol free. The sound quality and the screen size are fantastic for what could only be described as an ‘old style’ cinema. If you enjoy movies and you want a wonderful experience the Cinéma Capitole cannot be missed!

Old and elegant. Comfortable seating, good screen view, good sound quality. Old type cinema with huge room (and balcony). With the old design it feels like a dive in the past, but in a good way.
