Sat outside and coffee (I had the iced mocha blend) was up to standard. Tables were clean and there was enough outdoor seating for our group of 6. The service buttons next to the tables outside didn’t work unfortunately and nobody came to serve us until we went in to order. Our waitress was slightly rude, slamming things down on the table and insisting when I said to just place everything on the table. Also made a remark when we went to the bathroom while she was cleaning. Otherwise cleanly and reasonably priced.

I visited this cafe and bakery last week with 5 others and our experience was not great at all. We sat down outside the cafe for a coffee before going for a guided tour in the nearby stockalper palace. We had each ordered a coffee but had to go inside to order as the service button outside the building clearly doesn’t work. We eventually received our order and the waitress was not the friendliest. She demanded that we tell her who ordered what rather than just putting the drinks down on the table to allow us to sort them out amongst ourselves. There is very poor lighting and hardly any signs on the way to the bathrooms leading to confusion and possibly accidents. There was a member of staff cleaning the toilets at the time who complained to us on their way out with dirty looks that they had to clean the bathroom after every person. Overall I found the atmosphere of the cafe very unwelcoming. The drinks were ok but I wasn’t happy with the service from the staff.

We had a wonderful experience getting some breakfast whilst on a short stop in Brig in between two trains. The owner was very friendly and accommodated our special requests. The food itself was delicious. I especially liked their chocolate croissant with various nuts.
