YFU is a very friendly and engaged organisation. Their volunteers and office personnel go to great lengths to make sure that both exchange students as well as parents feel good and safe before, during and after an exchange year. Even after the exchange year itself it is possible to become involved as a volunteer or a host family and help bring more understanding to the world. This organisation is truly contributing to making the world a safer and more peaceful place.

I went on an exchange with YFU in 2012-2013. YFU is an incredible organization which genuinely cares about supporting the students and families in Switzerland and abroad. It provides proper training before, during and after the exchange. Going on exchange enabled me to understand a new culture, learn a new language, and develop my personality. YFU also offers volunteering options for students that want to remain in contact with their friends after the exchange is finished. Overall, YFU is an organization I can recommend to anyone!
