Very charming area. Don’t miss the Einstein’s home where he had conceived the idea of Theory Of Relativity.

Bern Old Town Visited 18/9/2019 At the end of Nydeggbrücke Bridge lies the old town of Bern. Although not a true thoroughfare for motor vehicles, buses, delivery vehicles and some private cars run along the cobble stone street. It is just one long street, known as Kramgasse. It is very clean and flanked by four-storey buildings, all restored to the former glory. The Einsteinhaus (Einstein House) is a museum and a former residence of Albert Einstein. It is located on No. 49 Kramgasse in Bern, Switzerland. Einstein, his wife and and son lived in aa apartment on second floor from 1903 to 1905. Bern is known as the City of Fountains. Apart from their decorative character and interesting history, the cool water flowing from the fountain spouts is drinkable.

Always and forever. Behind the cathedral you'll find a nice place to rest for a while. Maybe market is held (e.g saturday). If the weather is fine climb der stairs of the cathedral and overlook the whole town, the river and the alps.

The old town of Bern is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is compact and very suitable for walking. Very interesting, exciting and well preserved.

Safe & secure childhood memories. Also, Aare River, Bern.

An absolute splendid city worth to be considered Unesco Heritage! I suggest a round walk from the bear pit upstream along the Aare, until the Marzili Beach, then go up behind the Federal Palace, then through the city until back to the bear Pit and even up to Rosengarten for a cocktail with a breathtaking view.

Visited Bern from Geneva for the day via train.Bern needs more then a day to explore.A must see is The \Zytglogge Clock Tower\especially at 12pm with your video camera ready to go,we didn't but we heard it.The prices in the shops seemed cheaper then Geneva.
