Probably the best hospital I’ve ever been to. I was transported to the emergency station. The doctors and nurses were especially kind and nice. Very concerned about my wellbeing. Had the surgery at the same day even though it was a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant at the top of the famous Bettenhochhaus is not as expensive as you might think for Swiss standards. At a lovely sunny day you will get a great view over the city of Bern. But don’t try to eat at noon your lunch, because this place will be crowded with nurses and doctors. You can try if you like to wait.

Got a piece of my finger sliced off from the side using a mandolin. Stuck it back on and came to the Adult Notfallat 1245. It is now 5pm and I am still waiting for attention. What the hell kind of place is this? We are in Switzerland for God's sake. If. my finger isn't sewn within 6 hours it doesn't reflect good!! SHAME

Best hospital ever . I thank Dr med Esther vögelin (chirurgie) She even noticed my son had a speech problem which she reached out an ergo theraphy where I go in montreux-Vaud . I always trust This hospital they took care of me when I went to give birth there upto day I find myself going back there.

The guy in the emergency department reception was very rude and unprofessional. He was not helpful nor friendly in his tone. This kind of attitude and behaviour is not expected from someone working at the hospital.

Medical care is good....but beware the over-eager parking / security people. Parked today with a blue disabled badge on the road (between other parked cars), as is allowed under Swiss Parkerleicherung. Came back to a fine under the windscreen Wiper. Asked for an explanation as I thought I had followed the rules First explanation: parking not allowed. (I politely reminded him of the rules for bluecards) 2nd explanation: the clinic director says we have to fine people if they are not INO appointments (I asked then where is the sign saying this, or a list of the parking rules for the Insel) 3rd explanation: its private land (no idea if the street itself is private, but if yes, then it not not permitted to give fines for parking. And the street is not a „Parkfläche“ so the Parkerleichterung still apply. 4th explanation: oh, we allow it if the disabled person is driving....but here the companion drove. (again asked for a list of the parking rules so I could park correctly....oddly, no list available). They took back the fine slip, but I suspect I will receive it instead by mail. My husband has 6 appointments at the hospital this week...I push his wheel chair, he can not make himself well understood without assistance. I do my best to follow the rules, and parked according to the blue card rules only when unable to find any other space. This extra stress is fully unnecessary.

Very professional and carrying staff most of them being bi/trilingual. I had a very succeful surgery there and strongly belive that you can get there as good as an experience as you can get in an hospital.
