It depends with whom you are talking, some of them are very arrogant and unfriendly, they allow themselves to speak loud, which is very unpolite! in addition they do not answer neither phones nor mails!!!
Very accommodating and straightforward. I had to go 3 times during my stay in Switzerland. Usually you only need to go twice - when you arrive and when you leave, but I needed to change my permit as I was moving house midway through my stay, as I was in GrossBasel but had to move to (the much nicer) KleinBasel as my letting came to an end. With the exception of termination, each time you renew your address and L pass (my first one lasted 10 months, but I had to change 4 months in, so the other one lasted 6 months) it will set you back 91 CHF and a fair bit of paperwork. They may have changed the rules since I lived there, but I somewhat doubt it as I moved there just over 4 years ago, and left there 3 years and 3 months ago. If you're working in Basel, but living in either Saint-Louis (France), Huningue (France), Weil-am-Rhein (Germany) or Lorrach (Germany), there are rules you'd need to take into consideration, and I know Brits who have done this (the Brits I knew lived in Saint-Louis). I'd read through those rules first, especially with Brexit coming up!

Am Empfang sind Sie eher unfreundlich. Auch telefonisch ist es eine Lotterie -\u003e freundlich/unfreundlich. Bei unserer zuständigen Person im Migrationsamt sind wir jedoch sehr nett, professionell, und gut informiert worden. Im Grossen und Ganzen sind wir zufrieden.
Absolut nett, schnell und kompetent bis jetzt. Ohne Termin in 5-10 min dran gekommen. Was will man mehr?
