A well maintained hotel with a friendly and attentive staff. The room and the bathroom were clean. To our surprise, the products in the mini bar are included in the price of the room :) The only downside is that the room is a bit small.

I wish I could rate this place higher. Check-in was great and fast, arriving at the room was easy and pleasant. The bad: Rooms are NOT soundproof, you can clearly hear talking in the corridor and adjacent rooms, this was not an issue the first night but the second night drunk people checked into the room next to ours at midnight and played loud music, sang and banged on the walls. Reception did nothing for over an hour by which time they had left to go somewhere. At 5:30am they returned and banged on our door, reception again did nothing and were pretty rude and we got no sleep.
We have stayed at this hotel 3 times and were always happy about it. This time the stay left a bad taste in our mouth. We booked the same room type as usual but we got a smaller room. When we asked for an explanation at the reception they said this was the room type we booked (which was not -- we always book that type of room so we know what we get) and we had to pay double the price to get upgraded. We wanted to use the gym, but because of the virus they said that only one person a day can use it. We arrived at 1 pm, another person booked the gym for 6 pm so we couldn't use it at all. I have the feeling the front desk lady had no idea what she was doing, she had to ask the cleaning lady about the gym. Moreover, nothing about the gym was mentioned at the time of the booking so this was a very bad surprise for us when we got there, especially because all gyms in Basel are open without restrictions and I find weird that only one person a day can use the gym in such an hotel. Room very clean as always, but the cleaning lady at one point came into the room without knocking on the door. Very nice lady was serving us for breakfast. Fewer options because of the virus situation, but in general very well organized. A bit disappointed this time with the upgrade part and the gym.
Overall, I would stay here again. Convenient location, clean rooms, pleasant bathroom cosmetics (Rituals), inclusive minibar, coffee machine in the room and unobstructed views. However, the pillows were a complete disaster for me (too soft). Even after ordering an extra set of pillows they were still extremely uncomfortable. Another encountered problem - constant weird noise coming from the windows.
The rooms are very clean, modern and cozy. Minibar and Coffee are included in the price. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Special request was free. Public transport right in front of the hotel and Bad. Bahnhof 3 walking Minutes away. You also get a free Basel-Card for the duration of your stay which let's you use all the public transports free of charge and gives you huge discounts for Museums, Theaters and lots more. Hotel is extremely central in Basel.
We love our stay here. Everything was just good. As we traveled in summer, having a good air conditioner is a big point, which this hotel definitely tick the box. They also have a mini-bar per room which all was included and a coffee machine. The coffee wasn’t tasty. That’s room for improvement probably. I also like how they use lots of touch technology to enhance the experience in the room. Innovative!
