Operated by DB (Deutsche Bahn) Germany... decently large... multiple connections to Basel from Germany.
Though I have not used any of the facilities here I found this place very interesting and peaceful while taking a walk late in the evening from Messeplatz. This beautiful piece of architecture is 160 years old listed as Swiss Heritage site. Though it falls in Switzerland this Train Station is operated by German Railways company. Deserves another visit in daylight.
Not sure there is a point reviewing a train station... Nice structure and the entrance/shop area has been improved but the tracks need modernization and better weather protection. And why are the local commuter trains stuck here for 10mins? It's also unreliable - don't be surprised if they cancel trains to SBB on shortest notice and having to get a very expensive taxi to catch your connection.
Well behaved staffs. They will help you get the ticket manually and also this place is well commute with Tram.
The Migros monopoly stays open throughout the year.
Limited seating at terminal and outdated terminal interiors
