French brasserie-style restaurant in (or rather above) old town Basel. In the summer, you get a great view over the rooftops from their terrace. The menu offers a selection of mostly meat and fish dishes, with a few vegetarian options. Food quality was excellent. Good wine list and dessert options. Professional and fast service. Good place for a business lunch or a romantic dinner.

A hidden gem. Reasonably priced authentic French experience. Vegetarian risotto and Crème brûlée are delicious and so as beef tartare. Reserve your table in advance.

Cosy little French brasserie with a bit of a German flair in a boutique hotel in the centre of Basel. Friendly service, although a bit overwhelmed around 7pm on a Friday evening. Tried snails for the first time LOL. They make it with a garlicky pesto-ish cover, delicious and you don't need to dig them out of their shells, they were already evicted. The wait staff makes the beef tartar in front of you, there's the semi-spicy and a spicy option. Also great selection of desserts. Decent \by the glass\ wine selection, mostly French wines including Sauternes. Great atmosphere and a shic crowd. Reservation recommended.
One of the best places in town! Great staff and delicious meals! Location could not be better!
