Hidden gem not far from where we live. Lovely pond and forest in Allschwil, that is not listed anywhere on the net. Pretty big forest with a wide variety of walking routes. The forest and pond is an amphibian spawning ground of national importance and consists of many different habitats. Has a Vita-Parcours fitness trail and the area is also well equipped with barbecue areas which were in use when we were there. On the border with Binningen

Nice little pond, not really worth the detour but still a nice place to start off any walk into the forest .
Nice area to start a walking activity with the family. Or go for a pic-nic in the Allschwiler forest.
Ideal for trail jogging. You could choose to make it a 20 minute jog or take a longer route and stretch it to perhaps 60 minutes long. Head for \Wasserturm Allschwil\. Start your jog from \Dorenbach Promenade\. Also has a Vitaparcours. It's a nice chilly jog in winter evenings!! Is pretty cool in Summers too as sunlight hardly ever reaches you.
Perfect for jogging in the woods or walking your dog or just enjoy nature. There's a 'vita parcours' for the sporty & motivated folks. Not far from the city.
Some people bring their old bread here to feed the ducks. Not sure if this is a good thing.
