Not on everyone’s radar while in Switzerland but it is absolutely worth a visit! The setting is beautiful and the castle is stunning! 15mins walk from Aigle train station.

You won’t find many artifacts on display but the castle and the views of the vinyards are beautiful. The wine and label exhibit is also part of the museum and it is quite nice but some of the interactive pieces are not working.

Standing out of the crowd and having almost no crowd, Aigle Castle is a pearl in the Aigle town for sure. Pure architecture combined into a perfect scenery of vineyards. Worth seeing even if it's hot outside. Take a closer look so that you can see the train trail in the mountains.

We walked around the vineyard and it was absolutely gorgeous. If you're looking for a beautiful place for a nice walk or picnic i would definitely recommend this place.

If you travel from the main station in Aigle, I would rather walk (even if you catch the bus you will have to walk a while anyways) 20 minutes to the castle. Entrance fee is 11 Francs (covers the wine museum as well). The castle is ok (its oldest part dates from the 12th century) but if you are a tourist with limited time I'd rather go to the nearby Chillon Castle or to Gruyères Castle. I found the wine museum much better than the castle itself.

It's over priced for a castle that's basically and advert for buying wine. The castle is beautiful but they have lots of the information missing due to covid so not the best especially after visiting Chillon only 2 days before.

Such a beautiful castle, with its setting nestled in the vineyards and the mountains. The castle interior is worth a visit with lots of interesting information about wine-making. It is free entry during “les caves ouvertes” too!
