Visited with a toddler, and it was a great morning. We only saw about a third of the zoo, and it had lots of things to keep small children interested. There is a mix of indoor and outdoor enclosures, as well as a good range of playgrounds. Reasonable selection of food at the Zoo cafe. Masks required for walking around.

Great Zoo! I really loved seeing the penguins and koalas (had never seen koalas before). There's lot to explore, different geographical sections, really nice and large areas built for the animals, beautiful paper map of the zoo, many gorgeous birds etc. We got there around 12-1pm and left around 4:30pm. So it took 5 hours for two adults and we could have explore more, but got tired. Parking was a bit of a hassle, since the closest parking lots next to Masoala Halle, where we wanted to park, were full and we didn't understand it in the beginning - we thought the road was closed because of some construction work, but the reason was full parking lot. So we circled around a bit and finally managed to park in a parking lot next to Dolder Sports. We payed with Twint mobile app, since we didn't have coins. Parked for 5-6 hours for 10 euros. We didn't eat at the zoo, but there were some places to grab a bite. Smoking was not an issue on the zoo territory, until you're not disturbing anyone. Just step aside from the animals and main paths and you should be good.
One of the most beautiful zoos in the world! As much as I hate animals in captivity, you can see clearly that the animals are very well taken care of. I've been already 10 times here, and everytime there is something fun to see: animals playing with the little ones. The various restaurants available (african, thai, southamerican etc.) are also a very cool touch to the overall experience!
Loved this zoo. It was clean and you could really tell the animals were cared for. The lay out was good and easy to navigate which is something not all zoos have. The food was really good but slightly expensive. Seating at the restaurant was difficult because it was cold and raining so all the outdoor seating wasn’t an option.
Very good and proper organized Zoo, great for whole day visiting. Very popular and cold be crowded. Even there is huge amount of parking space around it's getting full a special on weekends, so best way is to go by public transport which comes directly almost to main gate of Zoo.
This is a good place for family with kids to enjoy in free time. Various animals with many activities to interact with them. Thus, the kids or even adults can learn about the nature and world wild. The animals seem happy and energetic. The grounds are very large, I suggest to come early and bring extra cash for some of the restaurants. The animals are beautiful, they have a lot of space, and seem to be well taken care of. More attractions like an african safari is opening soon.
Nice place with a lot of space for animals. The personal was caring about their animals and happy to give more details about the day life in the zoo.
The Lewa Savannah further improves on this already world class zoo! Worth sampling the food in the various regions: Thai and now African. Plenty of spots to sit down and enjoy the food.
