Beautiful church that wasn’t very crowded during our visit. The architecture decorates the skyline beautifully as it sets its self apart from all the churches near by that have just a single spire with a clock. Sadly the stairs up to the top of the towers were closed due to covid so I didn’t get to the view from the top.

Lovely area to visit, especially around sunset. The history is more interesting and rich. The tower gives a wonderful view of the city if you are up to the climb.

Lovely area to visit, especially around sunset. The history is more interesting and rich. The tower gives a wonderful view of the city if you are up to the climb. You should climb up and take a panoramic view of Zurich, particularly in the morning or in the evening. We can listen a nice classic music in the street in front of the Grossmünster. The architect is impressive. The stained glass is wonderful.

Sleek somehow challenging architecture outside, neat and sleek interior. Beautiful piece of monument. I like it. Photos are not allowed inside unfortunately. Stained glasses are superb, some are even original.

Europe's one of the most beautiful roadside with castle and canal at the background. The Grossmünster is a Romanesque-style Protestant church in Zürich, Switzerland. It is one of the four major churches in the city. Its congregation forms part of the Evangelical Reformed Church of the Canton of Zürich. The core of the present building near the banks of the Limmat was constructed on the site of a Carolingian church, which was, according to legend, originally commissioned by Charlemagne. Construction of the present structure commenced around 1100 and it was inaugurated around 1220.

With two identical towers which one can be climbed in non covid times, the church is beautiful in its simplicity.
