Such helpful and friendly staff, Senhor Luis is always so patient and takes time to explain everything. Thank you for the lovely experience, normally I am always so nervous dealing with the consulate. The only bad thing here is that you cannot get a hold of anyone via the telephone and they do not responde to the emails.

Waiting room is way too small. Most people have to wait outside. Getting an appointment takes from weeks to months. Even if you have an appointment be prepares to wait a couple of hours. Service after you manage to get inside is however very friendly.
I went there today to vote for the presidential in Portugal, and It was very organized and all personal structured.

I still can't fully believe how efficient this place is. They super fast, knowledgeable and patient. For me, it always worked super well when I went in person. Calling on the phone is a gamble and you might need to call several times before getting an answer. Email can also take a while. Hence, if you can, passing by is definitely my preferred option.
I concur with what many others have said: there is never anyone on the other side of the line yet the website asks us to call before visiting. I have been trying to call multiple times for the past 3 days... This is outrageous! How can some people still wonder why Portugal's economy is not working with this kind of unprofessionalism? Unbelievable!
No one answers the phone all day!! Unbelievable...this just proves the stereotypes of the Portuguese are true...lazy
Helpful staff. They don't usually reply by phone, but by email they do.
