Staff at the camping was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean, products at the small shop were fresh and local. It's great to have direct access to lake Zürich from the camping. The bus that takes you to the city is available just outside the camping, as well as relatively cheap parking. A great value for money stay if you want to explore Zürich.

Pros - The site is well located with good access to the centre of Zurich, the staff are friendly and helpful and the views over lake Zurich are amazing. The toilets are clean and the showers are free end plentiful. Cons - There are no specific pitches for tents, so you have to just sort of squeeze in wherever. We got lucky and got a water front pitch, but there is no power option and parking is off site across the road at an extra charge, making the site around 45 swiss franc a day for two people. The nearest supermarket is a 20 minute walk, uphill there and downhill on the way back. The shop on site is a bit of a waste of time, but the sushi is amazing.

We were told there’s always room for a tent and found out, after paying, this was definetely not the case. There was no way we were able to squeeze our medium size tent on the field. No electricity for tents, only for caravans and campers.. Parking for a car was across the street and cost extra off course. Decided to leave immediately, receptionist was very kind and gave us our money back. Website looked great so was looking forward to coming but never left a campsite so quickly so would not recommend. Maybe if you have a campervan or caravan and you get your own pitch but don’t go with a tent.

Open 24/7 (area 7-22), CHF 20 p.p./night, CHF 50 families/night, CHF 5/day for guests. Restaurant, barbecue spots, kiosk/shop, beachsport rental. Very nice but quite expensive campsite right on the lake. Not very big, often full.

There are a lot of positives about Camping Fischer Fritz but there are also a lot of things that didn't work in its favour. The site's proximity to the city centre makes it a popular spot. It takes roughly 30 minutes to walk into the city centre and the path winds along the lake shore. In addition, the site is positioned next to the lake with a space for sunbathing, the option to swim in the lake as well as hire water sports equipment such as paddle boards and wake boards. We also liked the shop - it was well stocked with things every camper needs and boasted a small decking area outside which was lovely to sit on in the evening, drinking a beer. However, when we visited in August, the site was heaving and clearly taking on more campers and tents than there were spaces. This made for a very crowded and cramped site - some people were sleeping on small grass verges next to the site's roads and in some areas, camper vans were almost touching. In addition, the car park - which you have to walk through to access the shower, toilet and washing up facilities - is chaotic in the evening with several people coming and going due to the restaurant. The facilities themselves were okay. I liked that the shower room and toilets were coded - but the showers could certainly be updated. Mould on the celining whilst you're showering is a little off putting and the ventilation is very poor - the minute a hair dryer gets turned on, the room turns into an uncomfortable sauna.

Location is nice...Waited 25min to place an order on a Sunday afternoon. Service was rude and unpolite. Very unfortunate as I expected more service for the price you pay.
