It's a great place and carries several items that I can't get elsewhere (most English food items here in Zurich are British), but it is always a bit of a crapshoot in terms of what they actually have on their shelves/in stock. If you are looking for something specific, I recommend calling ahead to check before making the trip.

THIS STORE IS CLOSED. The store must have closed recently. I passed by on the 4th of May and it was completely emptied out, no signs anywhere, and the inside was cleaned like it's ready for a new tenant. I'm surprised it didn't even last a year. I went just after it opened and it was reasonably well-stocked for a brand new store, but the previous two times I visited, about half the shelves were empty and it looked like it'd fit in Cuba more than the United States. Too bad, as it was great to have in Zurich and it must have sold reasonably well as the shelves were largely empty when I went in November and when I went in March.
Beware: they are in the process of moving this store. It is not open at the moment. This place is wonderful for finding those items you need for American recipes, or you just have a craving for. They also carry some British stuff. Their website works well too.
I was really excited to go to this American food supplier. As an American with 5 years in Zurich, this was like a dream come true. When I got there last Saturday, I noticed there was a very limited supply, which is also acceptable seeing as this is a specialty food provider with irregular shipments (probably). What really made my review so bad was the service. There were two woman behind the counter, one was lovely, but the other was quite rude. I think she was attempting sarcasm, but it came off abrasive. I asked about ordering things specifically and the woman behind the counter kept telling me "no" and then made fun of the product that I wanted to order. For the prices that I have to pay for these items, and considering it is a new store, I expect a much stronger customer service. I would love to be able to support this store, but Saturday left me with such a bad taste in my mouth.
A great place to get treats from your childhood and American baking goods. Prices are shockingly reasonable for central Zurich and the staff is friendly. Kraft dinner... :)

First impression is the cleanliness and order of the store and friendliness of the help. I usually come here to get my dose of American food, as their name implies. You won't find Rosti or Emmenthaler food here, but you will find Aunt Jamima, Ben and Jerry, Skippy or that wrascally Captain, Captain Crunch hanging out on the shelves just waiting to be swept away into your arms, then devoured like there was no tomorrow! (Yes, you can see that I do miss American food). Then, as you check out to pay, your eyes see the candy behind the register. Immediately I not only see, I smell the Reese's Peanut Butter cups, a whiff of sheer delight as I have, since a child, loved those. Back then they were a nickel a piece. Since this is a new store, the management is still getting their feet situated. So give them a chance to get their rythym going. It's really nice to have a piece of home here for us expats. I thank them for this. I mean, what would I do without Fruit Loops or Mr. Crunch lol. For the Brits out there, there's some items you recognize and cherish from your neck of the woods.
