I was not able to go inside but it's in a beautiful location along the Aare. There is a restaurant nearby to hang out. In the warmer months the patio is really nice. For the castle itself, I wouldn't go but definitely for the walk along the Aare.

Reichenbach castle is located in Zollikofen, about 5 kilometres north of Bern. The castle was founded as a medieval fort, probably built on the site of an earlier Roman fort, on the river Aar. The medieval castle was later rebuilt in the Baroque style. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance. While a Roman fort existed, it is unclear if during the time of the Alamanni it was maintained or allowed to decay. During its long history, the castle changed ownership many times. The first documentation of the castle is at the beginning of 14th century when it was purchased by Rudolf von Erlach, the victor of the Battle of Laupen, who was to rule from Reichenbach castle over the surrounding area. The castle remained in the von Erlach family until 1530. It was acquired by Beat Fischer (later von Reichenbach), founder of Fischerpost, in 1683. He redecorated the castle, and built the nearby brewery. The Reichenbach family's rule continued until 1830.
we were visiting the river aare and searched for q auiet place to ourselfes. so we went up the river a bit from schloss reichenbach. had a blast all to ourselfes ;)
Wunderschöne Atmosphäre
Die Bedienung war freundlich Der Ort an der Aare lät zum verweilen ein Leider wurde das Essen dem Ambiente nicht gerecht.
Heute um 17.00h wollten wir (2Pers.) Etwas Kühles, am liebsten ein Rugenbräu drinken...grosse leere Gartenwirtschaft (ausser 3 Tische mit Gästen) WEIL alle anderen Tische aufgedeckt und nur zum Essen parat waren.... aufdecken 1 Std vor dem Service, bei Sonnenschein und Hitze, sehe da eine Unflexibilität des Wirtes....
Eine an der aare gelegene gastwirtschaft. Grosse gartenwirtschaft. Moderate preise. Garten mit alten bäumen. Beliebt ohne überlaufen zu sein.
Es ist sehr angenehm und das Essen ist sehr gut mamchmal eon bischen dicke Luft .
