A really nice and cozy experience that surrounds homemade dishes and a fresh grill flavour. Regarding service, don't be afraid of the language barrier as they speak English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, and a bit of japanese. I felt the prices are fair for the portion and taste of the dish. Would definitely return. Amazing.

My favorite place During our 3 days in Zermatt. Had options in addition to \meat and potatoes\. My salmon dish was great; I cleaned my plate. My companions all enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. Our server was awesome, understood enough English to chuckle at our silliness when he wasn't directly interacting with us. He also interacted with other tables in French and German, and he himself was Italian. We found it just by wandering the streets, and were fortunate to be seated immediately.

Wonderful and homely restaurant in Zermatt. The meal was lovely and I did get slightly intoxicated. I highly recommend if you enjoy good food.

The beef steak was awesome and the grilled prawn was fresh and well cooked. Must try.

A fantastic multigenerational family run restaurant. The food was great and the atmosphere cannot be understated. Everything from the table tops to the lambs are made by local artisans. Jules and Barbara made our family feel like their family. We learned all about the local foods and entertain with colorful stories of Zermatt and Jules’s father Who started the restaurant about 50 years ago after working as a porter for people climbing the Matterhorn. You could feel the pride in ownership and in their town. Waiters were wonderful. Definitely and great place to eat and get the feel of Zermatt.

Tucked away in it's own littler corner this restaurant is not one to overlook. The meat fondue was one of the more varietal in how many sauce options where provided. The ribeye was cooked to my request and was very flavorful, the chicken broth soup was flavorful with a very good balance of salt. The applestrudel with that vanilla cream sauce was one of the best deserts I had while in Zermatt.
