ABOUT foodculture days (French version on our website) Foodculture days is a non-profit cultural event inviting the public to take perspective and question our society through the observation of its food habits and the thematics related to them. A four days festival where food is the catalyst and where its alliance with art and culture pushes us to consider constructively the world that surrounded us. Actively involving a public from different backgrounds in an organic structure, we wish to incubate fresh ways of thinking through workshops, exhibitions, dining experiences, think-tank, photography, installations, performances, documentary screenings and culinary workshops. We wish to open the conversation in a honest way and hope to develop new perspective together. We see food and art as universal languages. Food take us back to our cultural roots, our history, environment and identity. Art has the ability to translate and express ideas and emotions in a direct and human way. We believe that it is only by creating a context for creative questioning that positive social changes can happen. That’s why we use the power of aesthetics experimentations as a tool to raise awareness and address topics such as: sustainability, the value of food and time, social and environmental engagement, diversity, food waste, cooking with leftovers and and recycling. Our projects are infused with art, design and beauty to engage our guests in a holistic approach to nourishment: feed the body and the soul. Foodculture days starts as a four days festival but has the intention to evolve and grow sustainably in the long-term to provide an engaging and convivial community throughout Switzerland.
