Very beautiful place, many trekking tracks and all trip included in GA. I will come back for sure, I've seen other interesting walks.

If you travel from Lucerne by train catch the train that goes to Engelberg but your stop is called Stans (20 minute ride). From the Stans train station walk about 8 minutes and you will have arrived. It takes about 22 minutes to reach the summit (first 8 minutes you go with a funicular and the rest with the aerial tramway). Great place for hiking, awesome views of Lake Lucerne and Lake Sarnen. A must!
A great experience with amazing views from the top. The open top deck on the cable car presents amazing views as you climb the mountain, but the views from the top are even better! A lovely cafe and restaurant sit near the summit so you can have a drink or lunch whilst admiring the views.
Really lovely day trip, pity the mountain hikes were closed. I don't think its worth full price especially if the hike trails are closed to the peak. We went early morning for the early summer pass which gave us 1/2 price. Definitely worth that cost. Views were spectacular, the trip up on the funicular and aerial car was great.

We were on a quick trip to this wonderful view we enjoyed climbing it by open cable car. It was fascinating moments when you reached the top view and panoramic views. There is a restaurant on top and contains all kinds of delicious food. The place is well worth a visit and prefer to arrive early so that you can enjoy all the view facilities.
This place is amazing but is so much better with a little knowledge. First you’ll need a “boarding pass” from the ticket booth. This will give you a time that you’re train will leave. It is a great system as it prevents long cues and there are some nice cafes nearby to spend sometime waiting. Once at the top you’ll need a boarding pass to return back to the start. This is the trick, take one for a bit later than what the time you’ll think you need. We took a time that gave us 3hours. Which was plenty! The view from the top is truly panoramic. We were there in Autumn in the afternoon which is the best time to be up any mountain as there is no haze and the details in the alps come alive. The cafe at the top is well priced and food was very good as well as the service. Now on the return backdown, KEY TIP!!! Is to take the cable car to the first stop and then walk down to the town. This will save you plenty of time and cues at the top.
