Luca offers an amazing tour service through his company, Kalpak Travel. I began working with him to arrange a stans tour before covid became a thing, and persisted in coordinating with him throughout 2020. When the first stan (Tajikistan) re-opened to tourism in October, within days Luca helped me get my visa and arranged a custom, private tour for me to visit the Fann Mountain region. The experience was phenomenal. Luca arranged for a english-speaking driver to pick me up in Dushanbe and show me the country. We visited and stayed in a number of authentic Tajik villages where I was able to see first hand the unique Tajik culture. The locals were exceptionally welcoming, and the scenery was breathtaking. The Kalpak Travel team went out of their way to make sure I was safe, comfortable, and happy throughout my trip. I couldn't recommend this company enough to anyone looking to visit the stans.

Had an amazing trip through all 5 Central Asian “Stans” with Kalpak Travel. Incredible area with a good variety included in the tour - modern (and surreal) cities, nature hikes, history and culture, and expert local guides. If you’re contemplating a trip to Central Asia, stop thinking about it and book this trip! You won’t regret it! So well organized and the small group format made it easy to visit areas that don’t have a lot of infrastructure for tourism.

I had two wonderul tours with Kalpak Travel. Nomad University was an outstanding experience with lots of local people, food, sports and other activities.
