Beautiful church. Worth the climb. Magnificent views.
A misleading website of the Castello and several other touristic sites sent us to the castle. There wasn’t anything on the site to make us believe that it would be closed to public, no mention of it being completely private. It looks like a winery and a castle, like many is france, Italy, etc. However, we forgot that we were in Switzerland, a place with ample private roads, private cafes and apparently private wineries/castles.... don’t go unless you call them in advance I guess. Keep in mind they won’t speak English.

Private family run vineyard and Castle open to the public a few times a year. Also available for private events.
Bellissima location con vista mozzafiato sul lago di Lugano zona Morcone, Non da meno sono i pregiati vini prodotti in quella zona. La cantina per fare acqusti si trova molto vicino al castello , ne vale la pena.
Wenn man schon im Relais Castello di Morcote absteigt, sollte man auch die namensgebende Burg besuchen. Zumal sich auf dem Weg ein Weinkeller anbietet. Hier unser Review reisememo .ch/europa/schweiz/relais-castello-morcote-boutique-hotel
