I worked James from Manhattan Review was a great tutor to work with in preparing for the GMAT here in Rome and I would recommend him as an online instructor if you are taking the exam in Lausanne. James was quite helpful in particular in understanding the intricacies of the Critical reasoning and Reading Comprehension questions of the Verbal sections, so if you need help in that section of the test, send him an email.

Terrible. No trustworthiness whatsoever! Besides the fact that I find I paid too much for the quality of teaching (Combo Package: online course private tutoring), the company is not committed to giving every student the best possible GMAT prep experience. My tutor stopped replying a few weeks before my exam date, so I asked for a refund. Following a refund confirmation, they took 2 months to wire the money - I have the gut feeling that they hoped I would forget I wanted my money back! So, if I were to start GMAT prep again, I'd definitely go look elsewhere. Not worth spending your money here.
Selma H. was very helpful and prepared me extremely well for the GRE test. With Manhattan Review I had the opportunity to take a personalized online course at Lausanne (Switzerland) guided by my tutor Theodore in order to increase my GMAT score and thus be able to enter the business school I dreamed of. Theodore taught me that the GMAT is not about studying a lot of complicated verbal or quantitative theory, but about looking for the most efficient way to solve problems; by simplifying the questions with quick tricks, by working all the way through until finding the final result without guessing from the multiple answer choices and in the case of the quantitative part by converting each phrase into numbers to attack the answer with the largest amount of data, in the shortest possible time. In addition, Theodore taught me three essential things during the GMAT challenge that were the key to my daily training; it is not about not giving incorrect answers(because the errors will exist), but about fully understanding what you are being asked. Understanding that the GMAT preparation process is only a transitory situation to reach your final objective (in my case to be accepted at my business school) and that this test does not fully determine your numerical and verbal skills but it tests your guts to face a challenge of pressure, perseverance and determination. The Manahanttan Review team makes his students to comprehend that practice and hard work is the only way to achieve success.

I had a fine experience working with James from Manhattan Review, in preparing for the GMAT in Rome. He kept me organized and on track towards getting my target score of 650, with regular assignments and helpful material that he set up via Dropbox. I made improvements in the Verbal Section with data sufficiency by going over wrong answers with him, to see why I got them wrong which helped me train to think like the GMAT testmakers. If you are studying online or in Italy I would recommend him.
I purchased the Manhattan Review books for preparing the GMAT but felt that I needed some extra help especially on certain quant topics. I benefited from individual tutoring lessons at the University of Geneva with Selma H (also from Manhattan Review). She was very patient with me and of huge help !
