Wow, this ice cream is good! The only country where I've had ice cream that rivals Italy's was in Argentina, and that is where the owner is from. He knows his craft and is very friendly too. You'll get a nice mix of traditional Italian and Argentian flavours, as well as some more exotic ones and all I tried were of a very high standard!

Worth melting for. This Gelateria's name is misleading since they have over 15 original vegan ice-cream options/flavours (and not just your typical sorbet fruity flavours). I tried their Peanut-sesame & Pistachio flavours with their vegan cone. They were both tasty. Fyi: it's a bit pricey (6.- for 2 flavours in a vegan cone, Gelateria di Berna in Bern/Zürich charges 3.50.- for flavours).

I went to la mini gelateria is with a friend from ticino who had heard the ice cream there was very good. The store appeared closed (i think they were moving locations) but the friendly owner came out to let us know we could come in when he saw us looking at the menu outside. The flavours all looked delicious and I couldn’t decide, and since the owner really seemed to care a lot about his ice creams i decided to ask him to choose two flavours for me. Instead he gave me FIVE progressively smaller scoops! All he asked me first was whether I preferred fruit or creamy. The top scoop was rice pudding flavoured, which was lemony and rich with little chewy bits of rice in it. The next scoop, rafaello, has generous bits of toasted coconut. The next, mozart, was one of my favourites - dark chocolate and pistachio with chunks of marzipan. I couldn’t taste the pistachio much but it was somewhat bittersweet and very flavourful. The next scoop was stracciatella, whose flavour was unfortunately a bit lost between the other layers. The bottom scoop, cuban dreams (sogno cubano), was my other favourite - a strong, not too sweet, rich coffee ice cream with soft chunks of hazelnut-chocolate cream. My friend had a single scoop of the fig cognac flavour, which had a nice strong cognac taste - perhaps a bit too strong for some tastes - and lots of little fig bits. All of the gelato was very smooth, creamy and judiciously sweetened. It was light in the mouth and after eating the whole cone i did not feel overfull (though i was also not hungry for many hours afterwards). The waffle cones were homemade and very crunchy. There was a good mix of more traditional flavours like hazelnut, strawberry or chocolate with more adventurous flavours like peanut-sesame and lychee. My two scoops cone was 7.5 francs, which is more than you would pay at some other gelato places, but absolutely worth every cent. HIGHLY recommend - I would try every flavour if i could!

The best ice cream we've had in months, and we eat ice cream most days. A great range of vegan ice creams and cones.

By far the best gelati spot in Locarno and the area. Plus, the service is very friendly and the place is well decorated. Definitely recommend it !

Incredible gelato with some really creative and tasteful flavors like basil/pineapple. One of the best I've ever eaten.
