This store in Lausanne is 2 minutes walk from brasserie metro station. The store is a bit small as compared Coop Caroline and migros but it's cheaper. You will get almost everything. Apart from vegetables everything is of good quality.

Great place for relatively good quality, inexpensive and affordable grocery shopping as well as some basic general household items whenever on offer, depending on available stock at the time. It's good to check every once in a while because they bring different household products in the middle aisle throughout the months and sometimes seasonal items.

Where to even begin? The Aldi layout resembles what a person who has never been to a grocery store, but only vaguely heard it described, might recreate. Not only are the display choices totally unhelpful, meaning I often spend 15 minutes walking around aimlessly and squinting angrily at shelves to find a product, but on top of that, they enjoy moving the displays around constantly. Why? Who knows! I once walked around for 20 Minutes in this shoebox sized store trying to find soy sauce, couldn’t and so asked an employee if they had any (no), only to find a rogue soy sauce filled box facing away from cashiers at the exit. Again, why? Why wouldn’t someone group the spices together? Why are they spread out in different area e.g next to the meat, in a partial wanna be spice “box”, in a finer foods section, and at the exit?! I feel these are all valid questions. It’s also worth knowing you’ll never actually check off a complete shopping list. It’s just not possible. On a good day, you’ll make it out with only 3-4 items missing. Also, don’t go there if you want anything slightly *non-European* - they just won’t have it. The total lack of plan in the layout drives me mad and makes Aldi a stressful shopping experience. In fact I dislike it so much I’ve considered becoming an Aldi store layout clerk (clearly not yet a thing, but perhaps I’ll make it one). I will say, the main redeeming quality is their commitment to keeping prices low. The meat selection is also often local, though somewhat unreliable - you’ll never be sure what will be there. I also appreciate the *whimsy* of getting random/surprising shipments of products which means you can, at times, find gems like cookie butter nestled deep in a box somewhere. Pro tip: try to go earlier in the week as come Friday evening, the shelves are tragically empty and the selection meagre.

Nice Aldi located in the middle of the city in which you can find almost everything. One star missing because of its dense organization, some aisles are too narrow to let two people pass

Love Aldi. This store is a little smaller than most.

Don't bother bringing a shopping list for your groceries. You'll complete it to 75% at best...
