I loved this place, small, informative, interesting. The best bit is upstairs a miniature model of Geneva with a wonderful, knowledgeable women giving you the history of the city.

Museum of local Geneva history whose highlight is an interesting audio/visual presentation consisting of a projection on a plastic topographical map of the town. With narration and images, it tells the story of Geneva from neolithic times till our own. Besides this, the museum displays artifacts from the medieval and renaissance eras.
An absolutely amazing museum! Though it might seem small, it has some excellent visual information about city’s history, authentic 19 century furniture and a huge spectacular metal model of mid 19 century Geneva! If you enjoy history as well as urban development, this is a must see!
Local history, some great ideas like the Virtual Reality travel to the mid-nineteenth century!
I visited the Maison Tavel as part of the escalade so I didn't see the entire museum. The parts I did see, however, were very nicely laid out with an explanation on one of the core songs of the celebration translated and explained. A fun experience, for sure.
This is a lovely free museum. It was a great way to explore the history of Geneva. If they had English informational signs it would easily be a 5 star museum. Sadly, everything was in French except for a small guide they give you. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed my visit.
Worth a visit. The house has highly knowledgeable volunteers, interesting artefacts and it's free...
Very much enjoyed my tour - a nice time capsule on the history of Geneva, especially if you are short on time.
