Excellent advice and very interested, and serious engagement! We adopted a dog that was five years old. The change of owner and possibly its past history meant that our dog had a couple of challenging behavioural problems. Francesca worked with us: she took the time needed to understand the problem, learn to know the dog and find solutions that were based on understanding and supporting the dog - not mastery/submission or discipline by force. It was exactly what the dog needed and a way of working that we wanted. The problems went away and we also got a happier dog in the process. I can warmly recommend Happy Dogs to anyone!
Francesca is amazing and has truly helped us settle our rescue dog into our home. She is patient and knows how to interpret dog behaviour in a way that makes sense to the owners. She is always practical about what behaviours need to be addressed first and gives easy to follow instructions that make a big difference quickly. I recommend her to anyone who is brining a new family member into their house!
I have found Happy Dogs randomly on a Google search when we were looking for some help to train our rescue dog who was extremely afraid. But what we learned turned out to be so much more than we could have anticipated. Francesca transformed our understanding of the needs of our pet and our ability to communicate with her, take care of her and make her life better. We are so grateful to have met Francesca, she has been so kind and helpful it is impossible to imagine of a better trainer. We only met twice and she helped us: better train our dog, adapt the way we walk her, the way we approach other dogs/situations, to use a harness, to use treats properly, which veterinaries to consult for the diverses health problems we encountered (we encountered a lot), how to solve behavioral issues gently (barking at guests, running towards other dogs, pulling on the leash)... We would recommend everyone to get a least a session in with her in order to see how she can be helpful in your relationship with your pet and for the general wellbeing of your pet. Our pet feels so much better thanks to Francesca’s help, and thus we do as well!
Though it had always been our strong intention, it took our family sometime to start looking for a teacher for our 14-month-old labrador called Mila. Once we contacted Francesca and had our first long consultation session, we realized there was a reason for waiting and we needed just our FRANCESCA. She is a gifted teacher, professional, knowledgeable, creative and what is important to us - full of love to our pets. I was happy to see immediately that our understanding on methodology was mutual – consistency, patience, love, direct dialogues, many repetitions and… of course, many kilos of “bonbons”. Francesca is also a very easy-going person which makes it easier and much more fun to be working together in the team – a teacher, a parent and a dog. Mila gets overexcited with joy every time she meets her beloved teacher before her class. Working with Francesca, following her advice and being good in doing your homework will definitely bring results. You will see your pet happy, well trained and will receive a lot of compliments from your friends and outsiders in the streets. Having completed a series of classes with Francesca, be ready to blush a lot with your dog not with shame but with pride!

Mon jeune Rhodesian Ridgeback, Vali, était très turbulent, en intérieur comme en extérieur. Il restait difficilement calme, même après de longues promenades. Il était également très réactif aux stimulis et les promenades devenaient vraiment sportives. Grâce à l’aide de Francesca, Vali est maintenant capable de rester tranquille à la maison, et est plus à l’écoute en extérieur aussi. Nous commençons maintenant les soins coopératifs où Vali progresse bien ! Les résultats pour tout ce travail ont été bien plus rapides que je ne l’aurait imaginé. Un grand merci à Francesca pour son aide, son soutien et son professionnalisme. Très à l’écoute, je me suis tout de suite sentie soutenue, entourée et encouragée. Ses explications et la mise en pratique des exercices sont très claires. N’hésitez plus et contactez Happy Dogs !!! Je recommande hautement !!!
