What a beautiful store with very helpful and professional staff. A very big thank you to Madame Svetlana for showing me all the lovely handbags. I've had a wonderful time at DIOR Geneva.
Unlike in Hermes, none of the shop assistants today wore a mask. I think that me wearing one was taken as if I was sick, and had a feeling they were trying, politely but firmly, to get me out of the shop as fast as possible. I will ascribe this to coronavirus fears and will come again.
The company was founded in 1946 by designer Christian Dior. It currently designs and retails leather goods, fashion accessories, footwear, jewelry, timepieces, fragrance, makeup, and skin care products. Dior launched his first fashion collection which went down in fashion history as the \New Look\. The New Look became extremely popular, its full-skirted silhouette influencing other fashion designers well into the 1950s, and Dior gained a number of prominent clients from Hollywood. Since 2018, Kim Jones was announced as creative director of Dior Homme, replacing Kris Van Assche. In May 2019, Jones revealed concept sketches for South Korean artists, BTS, announcing that Dior would be in charge of designing custom-made tour outfits, ahead of the band's Love Yourself World Tour. With the help of other creative directors such as Matthew Williams and Yoon Ahn (Dior's jewellery director) they incorporated Dior's iconic feminine, floral designs with industrial-like harnesses and chains
I love Dior but the service at the Geneva store is just awful. Really unfriendly staff, snooty and unpleasant. I will not be returning.
Staff I encountered were all friendly. Very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Not so sure about product quality tho...
Apart from one super friendly sales associate, Marion, the rest could not be more hostile. Avoid if you can.
