Budget is part of Avis, so they have Avis and Budget in 1 line. Be prepared for longer lines than any other company at the Geneva airport. I have Avis preferred but got turned away to the regular line because I had not booked on my Avis number- classic “computer says no” attitude. Took more than 40 minutes to get my rental car with only 2 staff members. Not quite the Swiss efficiency.

I have had multiple charges to my credit card after I had paid my invoice in full. The most recent one came today (June 29, 2020) after a rental that took place in Feb. No notification or explanation whatsoever. I would not rent with this location again.

I prepaid a Station wagon (K category car – Golf station wagon or similar) with ski rails at Avis Norwegian website before arrival. At the Avis local desk on the airport I ask if they were sure that I would have a station wagon because we were four adult people with a lot of ski equipment’s. I was told by the lady at the front desk that the Peugeot 2008 was a station wagon and since I didn’t know the type of care I thrust here. I also asked if there were ski rails at the roof and then she told me that I must pay extra for that. I then had to argue a lot before she admits that it was included in my prepaid booking. You have to take a bus from the Avis desk at the airport to the garage when your pick up the car. When we came to the garage we find that the car was not a station wagon K category (see my attached photos) but a small C category where it was not possible to put the ski rails (magnetic type) on the roof. I had to argue a lot with Avis in the garage before they call the front office again and finally admit that we had not get the prepaid kind of car. We had to wait for another 30 minutes before we got the key to our new car that was what we had ordered. As a Avis preferred customer who has rented cars around the world I am not satisfied with the service at Avis Geneva airport! Regards Svein-Magne Tunli, Bergen – Norway.

Poor service and rude. The attendant, Khounsith, couldn't look into our case on his computer or advise on our accident claim. Just gave us an email address and dismissed us completely.

Staff not interested, bored to the point of rudeness, but When I returned home charges were added which were shown as included in the reservation. When I disputed the additional charges they made up a load of rubbish to try to hang on to the money. Paid by credit card so it will be fine but avoid this firm.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with any company. Some Avis locations are fine, but Geneva Airport Avis could not have been worse. And looking at the other reviews, most are negative, and highly negative. Not only will I never use this Avis again, I will never use any Avis again. The staff at the desk were appallingly rude, utterly unprofessional, and intentionally unhelpful. For no reason, I didn't receive the deposit back. After many, many emails to customer services, eventually they gave it back. Complete charlatans. Do not use Avis Geneva Airport. It really is that bad.

This place is a money scam. When I returned my rental SUV they pretended that the trunk cover, that was never in car, was missing. Now they are trying to charge me 1000 to replace it?!? Avoid at all price!!

One airport, two countries, two companies?? Not very convenient for travellers. Poor service for drop off (inexistant on the French side before 7:30 am). Dropping off on the Swiss side would have added US250 to the bill. Crossing back to the Swiss side of the airport to the french side as a non passenger, impossible!! What happened to Schengen? Poor customer service from Avis and the GVA airport.
