I have had many injuries and surgeries due to the sports I played growing up. When I arrived in Geneva my knee was in a horrible state. I was basically down to a slow walk. Dr. Seite recommended a procedure to hold off a knee replacement until I was a bit older. Having seen many Orthopedic doctors in my life, I can say that Dr. Seite is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent surgeon. After a 5 hour procedure and nearly a year of recovery, I am skiing again. I never thought it possible.

I went to Dr. Seite after a dislocation in a bicycle accident resulted in an unstable shoulder that could not be managed with more conservative methods (I'm not a doctor myself but because of repeated personal and family history I am quite familiar with this area). My experience in consultations was excellent, and I would have to respectfully disagree with FF's review below - appointments are efficient but not abbreviated, I always had my questions answered, and I found Dr. Seite to be quite accessible. More importantly in my opinion, the outcome of the surgery was superb and 3 years later my range of motion is excellent and the mended shoulder is completely stable and capable. I don't have to consider it at all when being active, which as those who have experienced this will know is a major life improvement. I no longer live in Switzerland but if I did and needed an orthopedic surgeon again Dr. Seite would be my first and only stop.
Dr Seite may be competent, but unfortunately has absolutely no bedside manner and it would probably have been more pleasant to have visited a robot or to have received the information by mail! Being from a medical family myself, I found this highly unusual. The consultation, which took 15 min, included medical history, an examination and a proposal to resolve the problem by surgery. The information, medical terms included, was spurted out at the speed of lightening with no time to ask questions and it was clear that the doctor was either in a hurray or not interested! Definitely not a person I would recommend or have the confidence in to conduct an operation!
The experience with Dr. Seite has been great. I did a 5 hour operation on my right shoulder and the process throughout has been very professsional . Dr Seite is multi-lingual and speaks English, Spanish and French. The office location is also very convenient for me.
One of the best experiences. The doctor and his administrative staff, including the secretaries are just terrific. They have been instantly accessible, even on weekends.

Having now had 3 knee operations, from spending not enough time skiing in the mountains, I can qualify that Dr Seite is one of the best! His knowledge and skills make the process of getting yourself repaired almost painless. I would recommend Dr Seite to anyone.
Great Doctor, really spectacular, with extraordinary attention, competence and availability, always looking for the best solution for the patient. What caught my attention the most was the time and his manner he explained me the surgical procedure so that I could achieve the best possible recovery. High-level perfomance and follow-up. Incredible but I feel my knee much more stable than the one that never had problems and I can do all of my activities much better then before. I highly recommend Dr Seite, his performance and the entire team is truly extraordinary.
