Great place for the whole family. It is not too big but very comfortable. You could enjoy all the animals and the animals seem to be well taken care of. Children Were happy to visit and there is a nice playground at the zoo exit. Thank you Plättli-Zoo!

Avoid this place. The enclosures are way too small for the animals. The lions were in a tiny enclosure, my wife literally started crying when she saw them.

This zoo has improved tremendously in the past 20 years! Love the petting zoo and the little monkeys. Also a nice walk along the birds.
Wonderful small zoo for small children. We spent hours here with a 4-year-old. Buying a bag of popcorn to feed to the animals was a great fun, feeding the monkeys was a highlight. There's more popccorn available in a vending machine halfway through. There's a nice cafe serving alcohol on the outside and a picnic and bbq spot inside. The kids playground and funpark at the entrance has lots of little rides for the kids and ponies as well. You'll go through a lot of 1 Franc coins.
This zoo is a disgrace. If it was just a petting zoo it would be great but the enclosures for the lions and the chimps are tiny. I was heartbroken to see one chimp who appeared to have lost her soul, I truly hated it. I just stood there and cried. Before you think I'm just oversensitive and hate zoos, I don't. I LOVE the Zurich zoo and cannot encourage you enough to go there instead. There they have space. The animals have grass, shade, care. Do not support this 'zoo'.
