A fun and dynamic ETH research group tackling aging science and rejuvenation biology. I worked for four years as a doctoral researcher in the Ewald lab focusing on the link between the extracellular matrix and lifespan. The research projects are very diverse and approach the overall goal of improving healthspan from different angles.

One of the best places for lifespan experiments in nematodes in Switzerland! High reproducibility, fun discussions... Would go back anytime.

Awesome lab with young and smart researchers and creative projects. They establish a new field of matrisome analysis and collagen regeneration. Has very high potential in anti-aging and rejuvenation discoveries.

Fantastic lab with top expertise working on understanding biological mechanisms of aging and the role of ECM! I was fortunate to collaborate with Colin and his team in the past and would be happy to do it anytime again.

I did a research project during my master studies in the ewald lab. I really enjoyed to learn how to handle c.elegans for research purposes. I believe it's an excellent model organism. Simple yet complex enough to investigate fat and aging biology for example. I'm grateful for things I could learn.

The Ewaldlab is a place where state-of-the-art technology in genetic research of C. elegans meets the service of training young talents of scientists. Embedded in the environment of ETH Zurich, the professorship is organised largely independently, thanks to the pleasant teamwork of the highly motivated members within the Ewaldlab and the transfer of knowledge and mutual support with other research groups. The members face everydays scientific challenges with genuine dedication.
