10 years ago, I purchased a noble burl wood humidor from Zino (by house Davidoff). It was a birthday present to myself. The work and finish on this humidor was refined at the supposed standard of the house Oettinger Davidoff. However, after 2-3 years the wood started to separate from itself in the corners where it is glued. These manufacturing defects became worse and worse with time and made the humidor unusable at some point as air would come in. I was assured, when purchasing the humidor, that Zino and Davidoff humidors were enjoying a life-time warranty. But when I contacted Oettinger Davidoff to have it fixed or replaced, not only they were unable to fix it (somehow the skills had disappeared with old employees leaving the company), but they were not going to replace the humidor or provide any compensation for it. At least they admitted it was a manufacturing defect. But understand; even if I wanted to pay to have the humidor fixed, Oettinger Davidoff would not be able to perform this task! This is shameful for a brand that claims decades of refined craftsmanship and perfection. On top of that, the service is a disaster. As no efforts where made to compensate for this unfortunate event despite a life-time warranty, I personally wrote to the Head of Sales Switzerland. It has been now 8 month and still no answers. If you buy a product from Oettinger Davidoff, I hope you are lucky enough to have no issues. Otherwise, don’t expect anything from this brand.

Ich habe oft bei Davidoff Zigaretten gekauft und ab heute werde ich meine Zigaretten usw. woanders kaufen. Ich wurde noch nie so unfreundlich bedient. Man konnte die Unlust der Verkäuferin sehen.

Es gibt eine grosse Auswahl an Zigarren und allem was dazu gehört mit Humidor, Schneider und Feuerzeugen. Als Nichtraucher war ich interessiert an neuen Feuersteinen für mein Zippo Feuerzeug. Als ich fragte ob diese hier verkauft werden suchte das Personal einen längerem Zeitraum durch alle Schubladen, bis das entsprechende Produkt nach einiger Zeit gefunden wurde. Dann wurde noch der Schnellvorrat aufgefüllt, während ich wartete, bis ich endlich bezahlen konnte.
