The worst experience ever!!! Not helpful at all!!! We're in Corona times I had to travel here with my 4 months old baby and no help was given!! All the nice people stayed in Portugal apparently! E sim falo português mas não me apetece...

It's crowded, super long lines, but once it's your turn staff is super nice. They do their best given the capability.

Extremely disorganised. People have to wait for hours for any administrative task. You feel like in a third world country

I have a double citizenship portuguese and german, I know both consulates of Germany and Portugal in Geneva. In the german consulate I received an appointment, I arrived there 5 minutes before and immediately started the appointment. In the portuguese consulate, I arrived 30 minutes before it opens and had about 30 people in front of me and spent almost 2 hours there to get my things done. The reason why I am giving 4 stars is that the people there in the consulate genuinely try to help and it's not their fault that there are so many Portuguese people here in Geneva and so many need IDs and passports even if they could do it in Portugal on their holidays saving money and time. The consulate, should improve some of their processes such as implementing an online booking system for appointments and maybe spend half of the day just with pre-booked appointments.

Being Portuguese means waiting for beeing served. Here in the consulate, being Portuguese makes you want to become a citizen from any other nation because the people there have sometimes NO CLUE on how to advise people, you wait MINIMUM 1h to have someone to deal with your matters, sometimes employees are mega rude. Honestly, if you are Portuguese living in Geneva, ask any other country for a citizenship! I am ashamed really
