I had no issues with the image quality or the size of the screen in fact the 3D was great. Since they charge so much for a basic seat i find that criminal. also the sound was way too loud I could hear my ears ringing after the movie and it's not like you can control the sound or you can ask to turn it down hence why I'm leaving this review.

Wonderful independent cinema theatre run by very courteous staff (they look like a family). The seat are comfortable enough. The theatre is not sloping enough, so I can imagine taller persons causing issues. The quality of the screen and sound on the other hand is top-notch. The concession bar is well stocked. Popcorn comes in one tiny size and does not seem to be freshly made on the premises.

That they sell seats so close to the screen should be banned. I went as part of the GIFF.CH festival, my first visit to Empire - and my last. It doesn't matter how local, friendly and otherwise pleasant the cinema if the film is ruined by squeezing the last centime out of floor space. There was no way of knowing we'd get the front screen-close seats until in the auditorium and the ticket's paid. Shame!
