We were difficult and noisy customers (14 people) but the service as IMPECCABLE! They always smiled and were super helpful! The food was delicious and fresh, desserts were to die for! Would totally go back and recommend it!!

So , I had a beautifull experience in Chez Donati. Service was very good, but the food, man, the food is outside of this world. All ingredients are freshly cooked, by the taste you can see that Chef knows what he is doing. I had so many times pasta, but this is a proper native italian one. The best experience I had in Basel so far, simply marvelous. Chez Donati team, well done!

It’s a very upscale Italian restaurant in Basel, beside the Rhine River. It’s pricy but the food, the service and the ambiance of the restaurant show the value. It will be my first pick for celebrating special occasions with friends and family!

The ONE Best Dish

Pasta vongole is average at most - I was disappointed. For good pasta vongole go to Schmale Wurf. Great and friendly service.

Very good food and wine... only inconvenient - too warm in the restaurant and as a consequence waiter sweating like hell due to rather stress moment serving his guests... but felt pity for him, not his fault, therefore still 5*

Italian restaurant of The Trois Rois hotel. Extremely fresh and very refined, light Italian cuisine, result in delicious Dishes. Extremely good service, beautiful and elegant place. The terrace is delightful. Highly recommended

It’s an fine dining Italian restaurant along the Rhine river. The food is great and if you sit outside you see the river alongside. Very nice place and good ambience.
