The Botanical Garden's greenhouses initially remained at the Bastions site for financial reasons. Then, in 1910–1911, the architect Henri Juvet built a Winter Garden along the former Chemin de Varembe, which was moved to its present location close to the railway lines following the construction of the Palais des Nations and the various associated urban redevelopments that took place. I recommend you to visit this green house with its special diversity of plantes.

Quite beautiful
Comme son nom l’indique, c’est une serre tropicale ou vous pourrez voir différentes choses, il y fait chaud (bien chaud!) et ça sera forcément une étape incontournable de votre visite dans le jardin botanique.
Situé non loin du parc mon repos au bord du lac Léman. La serre Tropical, constitue l'une des principales attractions du parc. L'entrée y est gratuite et permet d'observer des plantes tropicales en milieu naturel dans une végétation luxuriante...a faire absolument

Tropisch, feucht und farbenfroh. Da drüben plätschert der Wasserfall, dort hängen bärtige Gewächse herunter. Blüten zeigen sich von ihrer schönsten Seite. Das Regenwald Feeling nicht weit entfernt vom Ufer des Lac Léman. Garantiert ein Erlebnis. Auch für Kinder, die vielleicht nie in einem tropischen Land waren. Ausserdem bezahlt man keinen Eintritt. Die Gärtner machen einen guten Job. Wenn man bedenkt, dass hier die Pflanzen sehr sensibel auf kleinste Klimaabweichungen reagieren.
