We took the boat trip from Interlaken Ost to Brienz on Aug. 7, 2020, at 14:07. We paid for first class tickets to sit on the upper deck, which we thought would be less crowded. However, we were asked to leave the indoor cabin if we don't order drinks. The lady working there insisted that we can not sit there even though it's virtually empty. People sat on outside deck were having beers and without their masks on which was a concern to us. I wonder if it is really the company policy since the experience is different from other boat trips we have taken in Switzerland.
