All the fountains along the street are super cool. A symbol of Bern city to me. Have a try of the pouring water!

The fountain is dedicated to the founder of the city - an event that took place after a bear hunt. The fountain itself is one of the 12 fountains from the Station to Bear Pit.

16th century fountain with colorful armored statue of a bear in honor of Berchtold von Zähringer, founder of Bern. The bear is supposed to represent the bear Zähringer shot, giving the name to the city.

Zahringerbrunnen or Zahringer fountain built in 1535. It's connected to Berchtold V Duke of Zahringer (1160-1218). He founded city of Bern in 1191 at the peninsula where he killed a bear. That is why bear is the symbol of that city. This bear holds banner and shield with golden lion the coat of arms of Zahringer. Bear is armed with the sword and wears chainmail pelerine and tournament helmet for fighting at the clubs.

Very close to the Zytlogge, it is one of the many fountains on that street. Check 'em all out!
