Der Verband der Schweizer Studierendenschaften (VSS) vertritt auf eidgenössischer Ebene die Studierendenschaften von Fachhochschulen, Pädagogischen Hochschulen, kantonalen Universitäten und eidgenössisch technischen Hochschulen. Die wichtigsten Ziele sind Chancengleichheit im Hochschulzugang und Demokratisierung der Hochschulen. L’Union des étudiant-e-s de Suisse (UNES) représente au niveau fédérale les union des étudiant-e-s des universités, hautes écoles spécialisées, hautes écoles pédagogiques et les écoles polytéchniques fédérales. Les buts principaux sont l'égalité des chances concernant l'accès aux études et la démocratisation des hautes écoles.
