My premature newborn was staying on floor C for over two weeks. Almost everyday other day someone calls and lets us know we can take her home, only to have someone else in the after noon saying she needs more care. When we get to visit or communicate with nurses and doctors in charge, we have to update them on what's happening to our child, as they do not communicate well with each other and some nurses are even clueless as to what to do. I asked a nurse about the protocol they have for changing diapers, she said they don't change them only put them under the sink; she proceeded to turn on hot water all the way to the hottest level and put my premature newborn daughter's bottom underneath it, she cried hard as it was burning her and that was how the nurse handled her.

Die Bilder an den Wänden sind einfach der Hammer, das macht den Aufenthalt für kleine Patienten und ihre erwachsene Begleitung so viel ertragbarer/aufmunternd (und, wenn es der Gesundheitszustand erlaubt, durchaus kurzweilig zum Entdecken). Grosses Kompliment an die Insel dafür und an die Teams für eine rundum professionelle, kompetente und freundliche Behandlung zu allen Tages und Nachtzeiten. (Das wäre dann noch der schriftliche Kommentar zu den fünf Sternen. Und danke für die Antwort - wenn man vor Ort ist bleibt oft nicht viel Zeit fürs tippen. )

Das Kispi Bern hat sehr gute Fachärzte und Fachärztinnen. Das zeitvertreibende Kunstwerk in der Wartehalle ist der Hit. An den Abläufen und Organisationen sollte aber noch gearbeitet werden. Die Wartezeiten sind viel zu lang.
