Great example of a figure fountain in Bern. The apparently well-fed marksman on top looks proud and self assured, representing the power of self-defense in Bern. A cute little bear is at his feet, carrying his gun.
The Schutzenbrunnen is a stunning statue above yet another fountain in Bern. I just loved the bear theme following through on so many buildings and in the landmarks and architecture. This statue in the square is hard to miss, check on your town map and have fun exploring the many varied statues throughout the streets.
Überaus attraktiv, in idealer Weise ins historische Stadtbild eingebettet, bietet er dem geneigten Betrachter einen wahrhaft liebreizenden Anblick. Ich könnte jeweils Stunden damit zubringen, den mittelalterlichen Brunnen zu betrachten und er ist mir auch schön des öfteren im Traum erschienen. Einmal habe ich ganze 73 Stunden in der Nähe des Brunnens verweilt, so wohltuend empfand ich seine Existenz.
Einer der vielen Motivbrunnen der Stadt Bern. Jeder ist einzigartig und ein Besuch wert.
