The flowers that had already been deposited in the afternoon were on our table. My lactose intolerance was taken into account - instead of the strips of meat with a cream sauce, the kitchen conjured me an original piece of meat with herbs and dried tomatoes. Outstanding! Recommend this place

A wonderful evening! I greatly enjoyed my dinner at Kirchfeld - nice atmosphere, straightforward design, friendly service. And good food, both the fish carpaccio and the Rösti with veal in a cream sauce (Geschnetzeltes).

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in years. Every single item was fresh, infused with flavor and cooked with care. Lovely service too!

Suitably old world and elegant while not being too stuffy. Fantastic Wienerschnitzel and dessert trolley, and MAGICAL Tarte Tatin to be ordered at start of meal. Dislike: service can be grumpy.

I went to this restaurant with high expectations, and the food was indeed excellent. They also have some dishes that are not too expensive, and the dessert was also delicious. So this is an excellent option, and no doubt this is a reason it is in the bib gourmand list.

Excellent lunch! Really well prepared Swiss food, friendly staff and nice decor. I understand why this place is so popular. Best place for lunch near the Bern History and Einstein Museum by far! My recommendation is to skip the bistro next door to the museum (rude, unfriendly wait staff), walk a block and eat here. You'll be much happier.

What a nice restaurant: spacious tables, high ceiling, great decorations, art on the walls and great food. Service was a little spotty, no wine list and little attention. The food was very good, some classy dishes and several more adventurous. I loved the liver, cubed and served nice and tender but the potatoes of the Rösti were mushy. Otherwise all dishes were very good and very nicely presented. The only drew back is the noise. Without any sound dampening conversations across a table is difficult.
