As a US Citizen I am embarrassed by the quality of the service of this embassy. Contact is basically only possible via Email. And these tend to be never or in anyway helpful replied to. If you are lucky and reach somebody on the telephone, they have next to zero competence to answer any questions apart from what is your name. Maybe I am mistaken, but shouldn‘t an embassy provide service to their tax payers who finance their daily bread?

Perfect fast and painless
My elderly father of 89 years old fell in Switzerland while on vacation and had to undergo emergency surgery. He was injured badly. The US Embassy really stepped up and dealt with the airlines for us getting them to change all of our flights around for the four of us to be able to get home to United States five days earlier than planned and out of a different country. I sincerely appreciate all the embassies efforts to help us!
good organisation, helpful staff but sometimes long waiting times
Visited for the visa interview with 3 missing documents. I thought I would be rejected w/o question but they tried to proceed my application at the best effort so that I wouldn’t have to spend another 4h to visit from my place again, and they made it! Very kind/friendly people. Best US embassy.
The waiting is unpleasant, of course. But the staff is friendly and everything runs rather smoothly.
