Nice and clean. Basic standard but ok for the price. Breakfast was not great but enough. You receive tickets for public transport in ticino for free and a discount in 3 Restaurants. It's about 10-15min by foot from the train station
We found a huge plastic snail under one of our beds and are wondering now how the rooms get cleaned after visits...

A bit expensive. Friendly staff, free Ticino ticket, clean, free breakfast, free lockers, kitchen for self cooking. Nice location.
Hostel is located in a very cool old building. Staff are super nice and helpful. Breakfast is brilliant for a HI place. Only reasons I didn't give 5 stars is because facilities (like most HI hostels) are a little old. That said Wi-Fi is surprisingly good. Also price is a little high, but then again it's Switzerland.
Bad experience, people were mean
This hostel was in a beautiful building right under a castle. The single room was reasonably priced(60), but the room was definitely one of the least nice singles I've booked in Switzerland. It wasn't awful by any means, just very average compared to places I stayed in Locarno and Bern. And being under a castle is nice, but the location is a bit out of the way compared to other places in Bellinzona. The breakfast was quite average, but nothing bad, just unexceptional. The Wifi didn't reach my room in the 5th floor and generally seemed quite slow, but was free. I'd like to give this a 1.5, not a 1, but it really doesn't warrant Very Good, so it's a 1.
