I got most of what I needed. The oil paints needed restocking, so I had to make different choices to get what I came in for. Decent selection of mediums for oils. Canvases and easels were a very minimal selection. Nice staff, very patient with an overheating Canadian girl.

The Staff at Tschopp Basel is extremely helpful. They are also honest. That is why I go out of my way to go there. Most recently I took a particularly good Flashlight which no longer worked into the store in order to find a new bulb. I had already visited 3 different hardware departments without success. This time, at Tschopp, the guy behind desk suggested I leave the flashlight with him as he had no time at that moment. When Tschopp called me to pick it up, they had fixed it free of charge. The problem was user error-but I would not have known. Great customer service Translates to loyal customers.
It's big and separated floors have different art supplies. You can find anything there. They dont have elevator so if you are with a stroller you need to park it inside and bring the kid or kids upstairs with you.
Nice staff. Great to pick up last minute supplies if you can't get to Obi or Jumbo. They have a decent craft and hardware section. Expensive

Beautiful decorative items, postcards, washi tapes and more. They also helped me choose items that fit together to decorate my living room. Really nice.
Lot's of bits and pieces here that you won't or can't find anywhere else. Very friendly and helpful staff.
