Amazing. Loved the approach: you won't have a menue, all comes as a surprise, you just tell how many courses and what you don't eat. And yes, I tried the best roots ever. I didn't even know that roots can be delicious... even more - that delicious. And the final accord mini tartalet with mushroom - as a dessert. Very very well deserved star.

I have no idea if the food is good as we could not go because my partner was severely ill. Despite few hours notice, the restaurant refuses to move the reservation and requested a cancellation fee of 200CHF. I have never seen such practice before, even in gastronomic restaurant. They might have win some money, but they have lost customers.

With COVID infections soaring I really hoped that the reviewer who said he was sent a 200chf invoice for cancelling due to illness was not real, but alas the arrogance of the owner shines bright while he justifies an absurd cancellation policy as a practice that is “usual.” Maybe in your delusional world. Not even a real restaurant in Chicago or New York would do this to their patrons.

A talented young chef who is creative with local and seasonal ingredients. The table waiting staff were professional and friendly. Would be happy if they emphasize more on good local organic wines to go with their local food !! Would go back anytime !

One of my favourite places in Basel. Especially the vegetable dishes are remarkable. One of the few fine dining places, which can keep their standard even than they leave out meat and fish.

Delicious fresh and well variated dishes and good service. Though we felt uncomfortable with the paintings on the walls, depicting naked women, both in the mens and ladies restrooms. There is also a painting depicting a half naked woman in an exotifying manor. We wish for higher consciousness in a restaurant of this calibre.
