Der Zweck der Stiftung ist insbesondere, die Öffentlichkeit einzuladen, sich mit der Überlieferung, der Wirkungsgeschichte und den Erzählungen der Bibel zu beschäftigen. Dies soll durch Ausstellungen, Bildung, Erwerb, Erhaltung, wissenschaftliche Forschung und dergleichen erreicht werden. Die Stiftung kann im Weiteren auch andere im öffentlichen Interesse liegende Organisationen unterstützen, welche einen ähnlichen Zweck verfolgen. We are an independent charity Foundation established as defined in Article 80ff. of the Swiss Civil Code with statutory seat in Basel, Switzerland. The particular purpose of the Foundation is to invite all people to engage in the history, impact and narrative of the Bible both through exhibitions, education, acquisitions, preservation, scholarly research, and through the support of other organizations which are in the public interest in further-ance of this purpose.
