Best part was to witness scientific developments preserved and placed there in the museum. I loved to observe dye, chemistry, medicines and microscope images. I loved that and was feeling so special. Later I observed architect, church scripts, beautiful paintings. If visiting Basel. This museum should be the top priority to witness.

Nice setting in Historic church, so many beautiful pieces to look at. Some have complained about there not being English translations on most of the plaques, that is true I did see some though. I used a google translator app and that did pretty well. The women at front desk was very nice and even saved me 50% off the the admission price. Much to see, still was under some construction at time I went.

Suprisingly Big as there is a large underground section of the museum with beautifuly decorated rooms.

The place had some amazing displays. The basement area is probably my favourite. Like everything in Switzerland it is quite expensive. The workers were a little bit creepy the way they followed people around. I am not a gun person but was interested in the collection the rifle had a barrel almost 2 metres long.

There are tablets that you can get at the kiosk desk inside the museum, that allow tourist who do not speak the language to read about the artifacts and history in their own language. Very helpful we enjoyed the experience so much more because of this feature.

Excellent museum, unique location inside historic church. Definitely worth a visit! Permanent exhibition includes stunning medieval chalices carved in quartz from the Swiss alps.
