I would like to mention two things which disturbed me. First, the price list (see attached photo) clearly states that half-pension costs 45 franks. Well, we were charged 70 franks for half-pension. Apparently, half pension in capanna Gorda meant only breakfast and dinner without the accommodation. In Europe, half-board / pension alway includes accommodation plus two meals. We only understood their pricing at the end when we had to leave and pay. We would not have stayed if this was made clear from the very beginning. Second, the dinner was too basic for the price and the fact that the capanna had access by car and thus getting supplies up there in autumn is not a problem. My boyfriend’s dinner was a bouillon with croutons (called soup) and bread soaked in wine and covered by melted cheese which turned into a shoe soul the moment it got cold (called main dish). The most disturbing part was that all the other people on our table and neighboring tables were having a meat roast with steamed potatoes and apples. We were explained that we had to pre-book to have such a meal although I saw next day there was quite of a surplus from the meal which we were not offered. The facilities were decent for a mountain but. We had to share a room with 6 others. The night went well. The location and the views were amazing.

Capanna ben organizzata, abbiamo ricevuto in regalo una notte presso GAIA, la camera "di vetro". Purtroppo ci siamo imbattuti in una giornata nuvolosa, ma per fortuna casualmente alle 4 del mattino ho aperto gli occhi e ho potuto ammirare il cielo completamente limpido e stellato! La Capanna é raggiungibile in auto, attraverso una strada facilmente percorribile. Alla fine del tragitto é presente solo un piccolo pezzo sterrato, ma assolutamente di facile percorrenza con qualsiasi automobile. Abbiamo cenato in Capanna con una squisita raclette, ho assaggiato anche la torta di pane... molto buona! Consiglio per una notte speciale in coppia! Ci piacerebbe tornare magari con la neve, visto che vi é la possibilità di raggiungere la capanna con il Gorda Express da Camperio.
Posto stupendo, non ho ancora provato direttamente la capanna e la sua gestione ma sicuramente saranno all'altezza
Il sorriso di Nadia e la tranquillità di Alan creano un ambiente in capanna da non perdere. Ho gustato i "famosi" gnocchi al gorfonzola di Nadia. Servizio taxi in motoslitta a richiesta da Camperio. Parcheggiare lunga la stradina a senso unico che avlota a destra sullla grande curva. Si può solo entrare per questa via.
